SO I purchased this product last December of 2009 it was on back order and it arrived by the time we
got home from the hospital with our baby girl. She was our first child.
I had heard people complain that it was not sturdy and that it chips easily. I have not had that problem and it has been perfect for storage and my 9 month old is still using it for the changing table area. I have to strap her in sometimes but It has been great and looks wonderful with our Emily crib. If you have other children who may knock up against it or scratch it it may be a problem but it was so worth the money so far up to this point. I use the top drawer for personal stuff like lotion and creams and oils and brush and combs and socks and clippers and ear swabs along with the current size she is wearing now. The next drawer has the next size she will wear along with bibs and socks. The third drawer is for sheets and blankets and burp rags and the next month of items and shoes in a shoe box. I think you will love it..not sure the ease of putting together my husband spent 5 hours putting both together when she was just about 3 months old. she slept in our room with us in her pack n play till 3 months when she got put in her own room.We love it hope you will too..

We bought this in 2007 for our first son. It was always rickety, and now 3 years later I am having to buy a brand new dresser for him. Screws are hanging out, and will not stay in. The bottoms of all the drawers have come out and will not stay in the provided slots. It is a horrible dresser. Complete waste money. The matching crib however is still in great condition.

I bought this DaVinci Dresser/Changer in cherry, after reading every review I could find, about this and other comparable dressers and changing tables over and over to find the best one.
I must say, I'm really happy with it.
I bought it with the 4-1 emily crib both for 490$ at [...].
I recieved them in perfect condition. My husband put it together by himself in about 2 hours, I watched, if you just follow the instructions even if it doesn't seem to make sense at first, you'll be fine.
I'm using it now for almost 4 months, and it's great. it's higher than most other changingtables, which is good for your back( I'm 1.63m tall), the rails give some extra protaction agains rolling off.
The changingpad seems perhaps thin in comparrison with the regular ones, but it is thick enough and feels comfortable.You don't need to buy another pad. My babygirl really loves laying on it. I use a softtowel as a cover. She often falls asleep while I'm changing her or clipping her nails or something.
The drawers are sliding smooth, and hold up diapers, cloths, blankets, towels. it's just perfect. ofcours you shouldn't open the drawers using one nob( like I often do) because the the drawer slides a bit square and it scrathes the dresser.
If you asemble it right it is very sturdy, even though it's not completely made of wood. It has some scratches but still is beautiful..I don't wear cloths with a belt or jewels because of the baby.
bottom line: I'm happy with the buy and really think you will too.

I have spent the last couple months looking for the "perfect" changing table and I finally decided on this one. I made this decision since I did already purchase the Davinci Emily crib and have been happy. I am also happy that Davinci also markets itself as lead and phthalate free. The changing table looks nice. Almost all changing tables for this price range have composite so I was prepared for that. I think it is a great value if you are looking in the $200 - $300 price range. My one frustration was that the manufacturer gave us the wrong pieces for one of the drawers. However, I was really happy that within 24 hours of emailing the company they responded and said they will be shipping out the correct part and would be arriving in 7 - 10 business days. So I have been happy with their customer service as well.
