 Fits Snuggly in DaVinci Kalani! August 11, 2010

I was a little worried about purchasing this mattress after reading some of the other reviews, but after it was delivered we were pleasantly surprised. It fits snuggly in our DaVinci Kalani Crib, there is no space between the mattress and the crib bars. I mean the baby would have to be super strong just to get his hand in between. It is nice and firm, but soft enough to be comfortable. It feels like an adult mattress which our son loves.
Another review mentioned that it makes a loud crinkly noise when you lay the baby on it but we haven't had that problem. So far so good. It's a very nice mattress...a bit pricey but all crib mattresses are like that. We're happy with our purchase.

It was a little small for the Davinci Emily 4-in-1 crib (I had ample space to move my hand around between the mattress and the crib). I feel the quality just wasn't there as well. It is a foam mattress which tend to fail and create gaps between the mattress and the crib. Given the price tag, I would have expected it to be a much better quality. I returned this for the Serta Perfect Sleeper. The Serta mattress has a 30 year warranty for the same price vs. the MDB 5 year limited warranty. I plan on this mattress being used for several children and to be used once the Emily is converted into a toddler bed, so I wanted a better warranty, and a higher quality mattress that fit correctly in the crib and would last.

I just bought this for the crib we purchased. I am expecting in september and we bought the davinvi emily conveertible crib and this mattress fits perfect in the crib! It seems just the right amount of firm and I can't wait to put my little girl on it!

We bought this mattress for the DaVinci Emily.
It fits very snugly. The mattress itself is medium to
low quality. It has no springs. It is covered in a plastic package which
results in a loud "crinkle" sound whenever you touch it or the baby moves on it.
Except for the snug fit, I would not recommend it.

I like it enough. Daughter sleeps well on it, although the mattress is a little loud. I suppose that's good because it means it's waterproof.
